1. How many?
Have your mind set on the number of dresses you need, and which occasions are they for: pre-wedding or actual day. This can help you to be more firm in choosing the design from wide ranges of gowns in the store. For example, you may go for a more elaborate gown for pre-wedding, and a more classic look for wedding day.
2. Be early!
More time, less stress. This is definitely the golden rule of gown shopping. Give yourself 8 to 10 months to slowly shop for the most perfect gown. The earlier you start, the more time buffer you have in case (touch wood!) if anything went wrong with your first choice.
3. Be Open for Suggestions.
While it is good to have decided on certain designs beforehand, it is never a bad idea to leave some rooms for more suggestions - especially from the experts in the store. You might be surprised by some of the choices you never thought you'd be looking good in!
4. Be Prepared!
Come prepared with some makeup, nude undergarments and shoes will definitely save you hassles because it prepares the 'basic look' to match with the gowns. It enables you to get a better vision of the entire bridal look. (ps: also looks better when you take a selfie of yourself in the gown!)
5. Women's Instincts!
Well, nothing can go wrong with a little instinct game. Women are good at it, aren't we? Be confident with your choice. If you love it, then go for it! Don't forget, it's your wedding, not others. You should wear what makes you feel comfortable and right!
